It seems as if when NBA stars are not breaking ankles and throwing down jams, some of them like to hit the course. The golf course that is. Fans often saw, heard, and read about Michael Jordan kicking it back with a cigar on the golf course. Lately, Stephen Curry has become a golf lover as well. And now, the latest player to join the group is Milwaukee Bucks superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo. The 6’11” power forward seemingly shares his love for the sport with other greats. 

The Bucks have had an ideal start to the season so far. With a 9-1 record, the Bucks are the number-one team in the league, not just in the Eastern Conference. 

Giannis Antetokounmpo may be a freak on the golf course too

No wonder why Antetokounmpo can take some time off and putt some golf balls as the season ensues. And recently, he uploaded a video of himself playing golf with utter concentration. 

It seemed as if the $228 million star was channeling his inner Tiger Woods to make that shot since he captioned it “Freak Woods” as well. Fans were delighted to see the two-time MVP excel at another sport alongside basketball.

“No One Wants to Buy the Game”: NBA World Frowns While Stephen Curry Is Hyped With the Latest Update on PGA Golf Video Game

One fan tweeted, “Curry vs Giannis next summer ?” Another fan commented, “Bro Giannis just living his best life dude don’t seem bothered loosing last night because he knows he coming back better.”

The Milwaukee Bucks had won nine straight games before finally losing to the Atlanta Hawks 117-98 in their last matchup. The Bucks have yet to face Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. 

However, fans appear to be inclined to want to see the two go up against each other on the golf course instead. It sure would be fun to see the two battle it out in golf for a change. 

Curry has been a longtime fan of the game

Like Jordan, Curry is quite often seen on the course, hitting some golf balls. In fact, Stephen Curry has been included in another game by 2K Sports. ‘The Chef’ is already in the NBA 2K series although, 2K Sports decided to include Stephen Curry as a playable character in PGA TOUR 2K23. Even Michael Jordan is a playable character in the latest edition of the game as well. 

It is always a sight to see two superstars battle each other in a back-and-forth game of basketball. Even though fans have not been privileged enough to see a Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo matchup this season so far, it might be fun to see the two compete in a completely different sport altogether.
