Another spin of the coaching carousel, another name tossed into the mix, and this time it’s Jedd Fisch. The Washington head coach has been floated for both Florida and UCLA, with his old Gator ties keeping the Florida talk alive. Then came the whispers that his family’s not thrilled with The Emerald City. But Fisch wasn’t about to let speculation steer the ship, and he shut it down fast.

On November 10, Aaron Coe posted a clip of Fisch’s latest presser, “They just want to tie coaches to lists and then we have to sit there and defend it. Rather than just be able to tell our fans that our players, our coaching staff, myself, my family — we love coaching at the University of Washington,” the head coach kept things straight and sharp. However, what made Fisch take matters into his own hands?

As 247Sports reported, the Washington head coach “could” have an interest in hitting the exit button. His wife, Amber Fisch, and daughter recently moved to Arizona, further strengthening the rumors. However, the head coach explained that his wife and daughters went back to the Southwest so the kids could finish high school in one place. For his 16-year-old daughter Ashlee, who’s been through five schools in eight years, that chance at stability mattered more than another change of scenery.
“The ridiculousness of people that want to claim that because my wife and daughters are living in Arizona, because I have a 16-year-old who’s been in five different schools in the past eight years to finish her high school, has anything to do with my decision. Or the ridiculousness of just putting my name on a list just to do it,” Fisch broke the silence. What added to the fire was how lately the Huskies performed.
It was a rough weekend for the Washington, who came up short in a 13–10 loss. That too against a Wisconsin team that had been searching for answers under Luke Fickell against Power Four foes. But he is confident that his family knows what’s going on in the Huskies squad for Fisch to stay put in Washington.

Fisch made it clear – he’s felt the love at Washington. Since taking over, the school’s poured resources into the program. A remodeled weight room, a brand-new recovery space, better nutrition, upgraded recruiting areas, and freshened-up offices. And the best part? Fisch said he’s had plenty of say in how it all looks and runs. But even if his family wants him to stay in Washington, an ultimatum hangs over Fisch’s head.

Jedd Fisch fired back with accountability as an ex-QB stirred the pot with a jab
On a snowy afternoon straight out of a football postcard, Wisconsin finally cracked Washington. It was their first-ever win in the matchup, the first meeting since 1992. The Badgers’ defense turned the field into their playground, shutting down the Fisch’s offense drive after drive. Sebastian Cheeks set the tone with a monster 16-yard sack. The night was all Badgers’.
34 pressures, four sacks, nine tackles for loss, two takeaways, and just 251 total yards allowed on 3.7 per play for Washington. After teaching Fisch and co. a lesson, Wisconsin Football posted a photo with the caption “The REAL UW,” sprinkling some salt on the Huskies’ fresh wounds. And guess who chose it to take the pestering game a step forward?
A former Washington quarterback with the X handle, “Cigar Concierge,” retweeted, “This better be in the f—— weight room all offszn,” keeping Fisch on high alert. Looks like the jab had hit the right spot, stirring the head coach.

Jedd Fisch did not safeguard his quarterback, Demond Williams Jr. Instead, held him accountable, claiming, “He was under pressure all day. I know some guys were hurt. He looked like he was running for his life half the time and then he was missing some open throws, too.” Against Wisconsin, he got sacked 4 times. Now that Fisch isn’t going anywhere, can he steer Washington toward a statement finish in the last three battles?
