If you think Travis Hunter is just a football maven, think again! Football is only one slice of the Colorado Buffaloes talent pie. Here comes another sport that Hunter is a master at — basketball. The Buffs’ two-way star is carrying an immense burden now that Colorado is moving into the 2024 season with the expectation to land it big while flipping the 4-8 script.

But Hunter is unafraid. Instead, he has a hilarious hack for kicking stress to the curb, dribbling his worries into the basketball net. After all, the sport allowed him to unleash his inner Superman. Like his athletic skills, Hunter is a pro in the angling game that left Coach Prime threatened.

Travis Hunter’s hoops highlight

Hunter hardly has a second to laze around. His engagement with his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, is on the calendar for the weekend. That’s not the end. The Buffs’ dual threat now has to balance his familial commitments with the Colorado program’s expectations about him. So, he is spotted preparing for his special day or hitting the training camp to bolster his skills. Between the hustle and bustle, he finally snagged a breather. On August 21, the soon-to-be-married couple’s YouTube page captured Hunter turning the basketball court into his playground for fury.

As he dribbles across the court, moving past the defense, it would be hard to believe that football is the sport that Hunter is associated with. The Buffs two-way star was in the mood to claim the hoops as he dedicated himself to a shooting spree — 1,2,3… and the swishing saga continued. It’s a new experience for the Buffs family since they had only spotted Hunter apart from gridiron beside fishing ponds.

Travis Hunter and Deion Sanders’ fishing day fiasco

Hunter’s love for fishing is so striking that the Buffs’ two-way star even turned Deion into a fishing fanatic. The coach-player duo often hang out outside the training, chilling beside Lake Prime. The bond has been so sweet that Hunter even gifted the Buffs HC premium fishing gear, but don’t get fooled by the sweet gestures. Regarding fishing, the dual threat allows no one to beat him.

Back in July, the duo drove to Lake Prime. Little did Deion know that this day out would cost him hard. They both hopped on a fishing boat to take a ride across the lake. And guess what? Hunter’s fishing rod picked up fishies one after the other. While the two-way star ran low in confidence, his fishing bucket later got filled to the brim. The score Hunter: 10, Deion: 3; this was enough for Deion to lose his mind.

And what did the Buffs HC do next? He playfully started to scout for a safe place to hide his face in shame, “I want my mom.” Football, fishing, basketball — what else is Hunter keeping under wraps? Let your guesses pour in!
