College football and the NFL are at it again. As per the reports, NCAA has been very particular about their schedule for the 2024 season. The CFB will not be hosting any match on Friday, September 6. Was it deliberate or just some coincidence? The former option reigns high since on the same day, the NFL has a primed match lined up. After all, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Baltimore Ravens. And when it’s Chiefs, it has to be their star QB Patrick Mahomes, who would be the attention magnet for all the football fans. Does it mean the NCAA has taken a step back after getting daunted by the probable Mahomes effect? But they already have a Mahomes lookalike in one of their hoods.

There has been no entry for September 6. If you think that college football fans would get a good night’s sleep, then you are mistaken. They will have enough reasons to sacrifice their sleep. After all, it’s the opening match involving the best of the best, the City Chiefs and the Ravens. The CFB world knew that in case the dates clashed, their viewership would have hit a nose dive. Because no matter how die-hard a fan is for college football, it would be difficult for them to root for their fav college team over THE PATRICK “SHOWTIME” MAHOMES.

The City Chiefs led by HC Andy Reid and QB Mahomes have already created history by bagging back-to-back Super Bowls in the last two seasons. It’s pretty evident they are set to grab that triple crown and won’t let a single chance drift by. And the Patrick Mahomes’ charm has already left college football in a pool of cold sweat.

After all, the City Chiefs QB earned a gold star from the GOAT Tom Brady. On the Stephen A. Smith Show, the seven-time Super Bowl champion went all head over heels for Mahomes, “In my opinion, the best quarterback in the NFL. When I look at him, I see why he’s great.” Even though college football does not have Mahomes, they have a QB with a Mahomes flair.

Dylan Raiola’s Patrick Mahomes-inspired makeover

This season in college football, it’s Matt Rhule’s Nebraska Cornhuskers that stands at an advantage. All thanks to their five-star QB Dylan Raiola for bringing in a Mahomes touch in the college football landscape. The Raiola craze has been so much so that it even reached the City Chiefs QB. While Raiola vied for a starting role in Nebraska, he tried his hands in channeling the Mahomes mojo. During their training camp in Omaha, the Cornhuskers QB had turned heads. And let me get your bubbles busted, it was not for his athletic skills but his look and style statement.

Raiola intricately ticked off the list to pull an identical Mahomes’ look. It left fans scratching their heads to distinguish the difference as the Nebraska QB sported broccoli hair just like the City Chiefs threat. Other than that, an Adidas T-shirt and shorts paired with a couple of chains, Oakley ski glasses Oakley glasses were all a part of Raiola’s Mahomes cosplay.

Not just the impersonation outfit, Raiola is all geared up to infuse Mahomes’ talents into his skill set. For this, he has even flown to Kansas City to seek training under Bobby Stroupe, Mahomes’ trainer. Until Raiola grabs Mahomes’ magic college football’s playing it safe.
