Netflix is all set to release the docuseries America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders this June 20. As it will guide the viewers through the entire journey right from the start, from auditions and training, to the NFL season, fans are excited to see the backstory behind the top faces.

As these seven 45-minute episodes will unfold on Netflix, one of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, Amanda Howard, is all set to share her journey with the team. The series will expose the team dynamics balanced with the cheerleaders’ personal stories.

Amanda Howard’s cheerleading journey

Amanda Howard, aka, Mandy, has popularised herself as a talented Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader (DCC). Based in Dallas, Texas, she is also a well-known Instagram influencer, sharing glimpses into her life through her IG handle, @movinwithmandy. Joining the DCC 2 years ago, she had taken to her social media account to share her acceptance as a cheerleader with the team in August 2022.


Posting her photos in the official attire, she captioned the post, “Secret is out! I’m officially a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I still tear up when I think about this honor and opportunity God has given me. Earning these stars has meant so much and I am beyond blessed to take the field with truly America’s Sweethearts,” thanking everyone who supported her through her journey. Reflecting on the reason, why she decided to join DCC, she remarked, “So many reasons, but most importantly to be a part of this group of amazing women,” who are kind, generous, and motivated.

Amanda began dancing at the age of 2. She started with dancing lessons at a local junior college later in life. She also joined the Sonoma State Dance Team and auditioned for the Golden State Warriors Dance Team. However, she made it into the team only on the second attempt. She later moved to Texas during COVID-19 and gave auditions for DCC. Only with persistent efforts she qualified for the DCC team in 2022.

A look into Amanda’s personal life

Amanda got married to her long-time love, Joseph Howard, a CPA based in Texas in November 2017. Together, they share a beautiful family with two Goldendoodles, Cooper and Ralph. Talking about her biggest inspirations, she reveals, “My Husband inspires me because of his driven mindset. From the moment we met, he has always encouraged me to go after my dreams and to not be afraid of failure.” She calls her marriage to Joseph as her “proudest accomplishment.”


Besides dancing, Amanda shares a keen interest in fashion and beauty, giving a glimpse into her stylish outfit ideas through her social media account. She also shares the platform to share awareness regarding critical issues, including breast cancer. Amanda had undergone surgery to remove a “benign lump” from her breast, fighting a cancer scare in her 20s. She mentioned in the post, “For my cause my star campaign, I am dancing to bring awareness to breast self-examinations… I found that this is a matter that is not talked about enough and that it can happen to anyone at any age.” She uses her IG platform to display her enigmatic skills and talk about important issues to make a change.
