It looks like a crash landing for the Jets so far. After narrowly winning against the Bills and then going on to lose 30-10 to the Cowboys, it looks like another bad day for them. After their talisman, and 4x NFL MVP, A-Rods suffered a torn Achilles, things have been going south for them.

The Patriots are crushing the Jets with a 5-point lead, and fans are already feeling the turbulence. With Zach Wilson seemingly holding the ball longer, it was ESPN’s staff writer Rich Chimini who took a jab at Wilson about half an hour ago on social media. Now, Skip Bayless has come up with strong opinions against the rookie’s shaky performance.

ESPN’s First Take’s former commentator Skip Bayless took to X (formerly, Twitter) to express his deep anguish for the Jets QB. He had the choicest of words to describe Zach Wilson’s performance, “I went with the upset, Jets over Patriots at Jets. I WAS WRONG. ZACH WILSON IS WHAT I THOUGHT HE WASN’T, BEFORE HE WAS DRAFTED. HE HAS NO POISE, NO FEEL, NO COMMAND OF PLAYING QB. DEER IN HEADLIGHTS. JUST SO HARD TO WATCH. SORRY, JETS FANS.”

After the Cowboys’ defeat, Jets teammates huddled together in the locker room and told Wilson that they trust Aaron Rodgers’ successor. Some of them even wore black t-shirts with the words “We got your back” written on them. At half-time, the score stands Patriots 13 – Jets 3. One can only imagine the despair on A-Rod’s face in his rehab center in California, watching his successor and understudy do so poorly.

Even though he had the benefit of learning from one of the greatest quarterbacks the NFL had ever seen, he seems to be still undercooked to lead the Rodgers-less Jets. Die-hard Jets fans, however, still have not given up hope. As the game enters the fourth quarter, will Wilson finally wake up?
