However, as Jamie Foxx stepped foot to share the stage with big shots of the sports industry, the fans lost their cool. The Intuition star found himself at the center of all the hate for getting the opportunity with the ‘GOATS’ while accused of being a ‘douche’.

Foxx’s efforts at Fox Upfront go unreciprocated

The American star is a popular face associated with the “Beat Shazam” series. While NFL legends like Brady and Gronkowski along with NCAA giant figures like Sanders embellished the stage, to add a touch of uniqueness to the show, Foxx had been given a chance. Making the most of the opportunity to outshine legends, Foxx plugged in his own series along with Fox shows like the MLB’s upcoming Negro Leagues tribute game at Rickwood Field in Birmingham. But as per the sources, at times Foxx went overboard with his upfront jokes. For instance, from the beginning fans were not pleased to watch him on the stage. So when he requested the audience to pay tribute to the Negro Leagues they refused to stand up.

After getting not-so-positive reactions from the fans, Foxx passed a joke, “Don’t want to stand up for the negro league? That’s what this is? They won’t even stand for Black people, I can’t stand this sh*t. No, I’m just kidding.” This further fumed the fans as they expressed their views on X.

Fan reactions to Foxx’s role amidst the best of the best

On Rodriguez’s post the legend placed the weapon on the fans’ hands to suggest captions. Scouting through the reviews of the Fox Upfront there has been hardly any commentary that did not expose Foxx in a negative light. Seeing the group picture of Foxx posing with the legends left one fan distinguishing between the comedian and the sports personalities giving Foxx a not-so-special tag, “Five GOATs and a douche”

As pointed out by another fan, out of the lot Foxx is the most ineligible of the lot, “One of these does not belong (Jamie Fox)”.

Seeing the group picture one fan did question Foxx’s eligibility to stand beside the names who have multiple accolades under their names, “How did Jamie get into the ‘guys with rings’ pic?”

Foxx featuring the star-studded cast of Fox Upfront left a fan claiming the American actor to have resorted to fraudulent activity, “You’re a fraud”.

Unfortunately, he is the odd one out in the group that contains big names like Brady, Coach Prime and others, “5 Goats and 1 Fox”.

Even though Rodriguez and Jeter too pulled off an improvised banter, somehow fans refused to accept Foxx in the same role as them. Besides Foxx, the other non-sports personalities that the event featured were Michelin Star chef, Gordon Ramsay and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump.
