Not everybody knows that Tom Brady’s bloodline extends beyond the sport of football. Yes, you read that right. The former Michigan Wolverines quarterback legend is one of the greatest QBs in NFL history, but his niece, Maya Brady, has been reigning the softball sport for quite a long time. 

The softball star has been a part of UCLA since 2020. Maya is an indispensable part of the squad. And what better support for the upcoming UCLA matchup against Cal State Fullerton than her uncle, Tom Brady? The TB12 shared a reel about the forthcoming contest on his Instagram story. 

Brady gives a shoutout to the Bruins and Maya 

Even though Brady was a Wolverines quarterback during college, the Michigan alum has now switched teams, rooting for UCLA. This is courtesy, Maya, of course. Maya is the eldest daughter of Maureen, Brady’s eldest sister. The softball player has climbed the ladder of success, using her talent without relying on his uncle’s legacy. As a UCLA Bruin, Maya has recorded 54 home runs and scored 170 runs and 178 RBIs.

Not just this, her stellar stats continue with a 0.448 batting average that helped her to outshine during her senior year. With this, she has earned two prestigious accolades: the 2023 PAC-12 Player of the Year and the PAC-12 Batting Champion. Impressed by Maya’s electrifying spirit as an athlete, Brady shared a reel by UCLA on his Instagram story with the caption, “IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A BRUIN,” tagging his niece. However, this was not the first time the softball star received a shoutout from her TB12 uncle.

Brady showers support on Maya

Brady’s love for Maya has been so intense that Uncle Brady ensured that he would be at the gallery watching his niece’s game. The softball star, who went home a winner, was appreciated by Brady. He who shared snippets of the game on his profile, “Night at the park. Big W!” Maya ensured to share her appreciation in the comments as she wrote, “love you uncle Tommy thank you for coming”. 

As Maya launched her 62 career home run, proud Tom Brady wrote with confidence and pride. “Sorry peeps it just runs in the family. LFG @mayabrady!” Besides social media, the quarterback legend has been vocal about Maya’s talent before the press. In 2019, he told The Boston Globe, “I think Maya is already the most athletic person in the family.” 

Not just in the softball sport, TB12’s niece has expanded her NIL portfolio by collaborating with the brand Absolutely Ridiculous. It is time for Maya Brady to be featured in any of Tom Brady’s wellness brand campaigns, “TB12.”
