The Green Gang did not hold back during the free agency and it probably won’t be any different on draft day either. Jets have bolstered their o-line with offensive guards Joe Simpson and Jake Hanson and tackles, Morgan Moses and Tyron Smith. This, and them having

A-game’ is the center of their plan. Plus the fresh faces about to come in the 2024 NFL draft complimenting Rodgers’ playing style would be the ultimate coup the Jets need this season to erase the previous season’s humiliation of their offensive line ranking 31st.

They just need to make sure of one thing for all of it to go smoothly. Their drafted players are the perfect “

weapons” for their QB, as Rober Griffin II best believes. “When you ask Aaron Rodgers what he wants, there’s nothing that this guy loves more than weapons. So if you give him a guy like Brock Bowers, I think would blow all Jets fans’ minds and this offense would be really exciting to see,” Griffin III opined on ESPN.

With Vera Tucker and other injured o-linemen making their way back to the field this season, Griffin III’s strategy seems all too feasible for the Jets. Since pass protection and QB departments are packed up, it would no longer be their primary focus in the 2024 draft. Another reason for them to focus on their tight-end department. NY Post reported,

“The team still needs two more starters, with one likely coming in next month’s draft.”

And that starting protection might very well be Brock Bowers. He fits the puzzle perfectly since he is the top tight end in the draft, and the Giants come in on a 6th, making their mutual interest evident.

Brock Bowers to visit the Jets

The Georgia tight end is a hot deal in the Jets per Peter Schrager’s report. The Fox Sports analyst reported that Bowers is set to visit the New York Jets on Monday. With the team’s interest in Bowers, the two almost seem a done deal.

The projected No.10 pick has mastered his downhill accelerating power, which will come as good strength in the Jets’ offense. This paired with his on-field aptitude to read in-between defense enables him to outmaneuver opponents in a breeze.

This slither style of playing of Bowers paired with Rodgers ‘intelligent aggressive‘ style is expected to bring the Jets up the score table. So do you think that Bowers will prove to be the ‘weapon that Rodgers will love‘ if the Jets draft him?
