Shedeur Sanders: 1. Gavin Kuld: 0. The Colorado staffer might have settled the battle once and for all. Kuld’s claims against Sanders took a hit on the ground face-first, thanks to Gary ‘Flea’ Harrell. Nonchalantly dismissing the claims made by the former Buffs player was just one thing the assistant head coach at CU clarified during his interview with Philip Dukes of On3.

“It’s just rumors,” was Flea’s first sentence when asked about Shedeur Sanders not speaking to all QBs, aka the Gavin Kuld controversy. Adding to his defense of Shedeur Sanders, he said, “He’s a down-to-earth guy. He’s very very humble. He walks around quiet“. All of this was just building the foundation for his fortress around the QB. The explanation that followed it was enough to clear out all the fog surrounding Kuld’s claims on Shedeur Sanders.

“I mean he treats everyone the same but he holds you to a certain standard and accountability. If you’re not doing your job, if you’re not bringing any value, he’s going to hold you accountable. If you run a wrong route and receive, he’s going to send you off the field,” Flea said bluntly, indirectly addressing, or rather giving an indirect answer to Gavin Kuld.

Gavin Kuld-Shedeur Sanders’s online feud timeline

It all started with the infamous interview, which is now private on YouTube, where Gavin Kuld spoke up against Shedeur Sanders not being a good QB leader, joining in the chain of former players exposing dirty secrets of Colorado. “The second I came in, he told the coaching staff that I would never have the chance to be the backup quarterback. Then he would never coach me. I sat there and watched him talk to the other four quarterbacks all spring. He was completely mute to me,” Kuld said, igniting a raging fire against Shedeur Sanders with his claims.

Shedeur Sanders was not the one to sit back and watch the drama unfold. He got up, took to his social media, and issued a warning and kind of forgiving message to Kuld. “I learned sometimes you have to take the high road. @GKuld I’ll spare you only this 1 time,” Shedeur Sanders wrote on X. Well, Kuld was ready with daggers raised in the comments section.

He came straight at Sanders, publically bashing him saying, “ What high road? What are u talking about spare me lol,” Kuld replied. Shedeur has since then been quiet. Flea’s words make up for an official-level statement in favor of Shedeur and the fans will have to wait and see if/when Shedeur responds.
