Coach Prime never ceases the back-and-forth banter with his family. Even though the 56-year-old is in constant turmoil because of his recurring blood clots and every inconvenience emerging out of it, he never misses a chance to make a friendly mockery of his sons. Even though life has hurled many obstacles at him, one major one being losing two of his toes, he has kept his humorous side intact.

The ‘Inside Sanders life’ videos posted by Well Off Media are where fans spot Sanders’ banter-ish side with his family. The recent video gives a sneak-peak into a Sanders’ day out in the snow. With off-season and winter being at their peak, Coach Prime saw the opportunity and grabbed it to spend a day with his boys in a pristine spot in Vail, Colorado. When it came to some adventure, Coach Prime held back.

Deion Sanders’ takes a humorous turn on medical condition

Building of the wisecrack atmosphere started at the Solaris Residences, with Shilo Sanders, along with Gavin Kuld and Taggart, the shiny recruits of Buffs taking some friendly jibes at each other. This was followed by a day out in the snow, with some over-the-top sightseeing. In a cable car ride with his son Shilo Sanders and others, Deion expressed his tough situation rather light-heartedly.

When asked by Shilo Sanders, “You be scared to snowboard over there?” Prime went pale. However, he assumed his humourous way to remind his son of his health condition. “Dude I’ll be scared to do anything. I’m only eight toes down. Don’t forget I’m only eight down,” he confessed.

Deion Sanders underwent 11 surgeries, most of them in his left leg, which left his big and second toe amputated. Moreover, he also reported having 21 stitches in each of his thighs. The condition runs in Sanders’ family, with two of his uncles and his mom suffering through recurring blood clots. Fast forward a few months and Deion Sanders was jogging his way to the field. The person who helped him through his recovery process is inspired by Deion Sanders.

Coach Prime’s athletic trainer’s view on his surgeries

In his documentary ‘Coach Prime’ streaming on Amazon Prime, Buffs athletic trainer Lauren Askevold, who has been a prime part of Sanders’ recovery journey, commented on the spirit Coach Prime kindles that gets him on the field each day.

He never lets this foot this injury, these complications that he’s overcome affect the way he is as a coach or even as a person,” said she. Askevold is often seen helping Coach Prime exercise his legs and feet during practice. The treatment has been tough, excruciating even, as reported by Sanders himself.
