Ever seen two competitors who are chasing the same position be each other’s best supporters? It’s a bond that Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry boast. With the 2024 NFL draft on its cusp, the Alabama cornerbacks are not buying into the race for the top CB to be drafted. Their friendship is something they cherish much more than that.

Terrion Arnold, who holds a coveted top-10 potential pick in the 2024 NFL draft, reflected on this bond on the Up & Adams Show. “I wouldn’t be in this position without Kool-Aid McKinstry,” Arnold confessed. The reason? “He tells you what you don’t wanna hear. Having somebody as high rated as you, having somebody that pushes you every day, most people don’t have that,” Arnold revealed, speaking about his everyday routine at Alabama.

Per him, the two constantly push each other to become better than yesterday, which is why both are ranked among the finest CBs in the 2025 draft class. Arnold, a projected top-10 overall, and McKinstry an All-American CB. Even Kool-Aid McKinstry revealed how the two pushed each other in Tuscaloosa to reach their position during his interview on Path to the Draft.

“Every day, we helped each other. What is good, and what is bad. No matter what’s going on, we were always there for each other and that’s how it still till the day,” McKinstry confessed. Even though the two have said a big no to the 2024 draft race against each other, rumors of both getting picked quite early in the draft are largely believed.

Kool-Aid McKinstry is expected to be a first-round pick rumored to go to teams having their picks in the 20s overall, while Arnold is expected to be drafted by the teams with picks in the 10s overall. Since McKinstry is thought to go later in the first round than Arnold, his name is rumored with some of the top seeds in the league like the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, and Pittsburgh Steelers, since they have their picks later in the first round.

Whereas Arnold might go to the Las Vegas Raiders at No.12 per B/R’s scouting report. ESPN’s draft day predictor, on the other hand, expects Arnold to land in Indianapolis Colts at No. 15. Looking at the lasting impression Arnold created in the NFL Combine week, he will most likely be the top CB to be drafted. NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah reported that Arnold has left teams very high on his “big energy” and love for football when they talked with him. So who do you think will land the CB stars that Nick Saban forged? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
