After more than a decade’s worth of loyalty to the Packers, Aaron Rodgers has gone on to shift his organization to the New York Jets. While the move was expected after a point, fans have still seen it as a groundbreaking trade. After shifting to a team as stable as the Jets, everyone is going to want to see Rodgers make a huge achievement the same way Tom Brady did when he moved to the Bucs from the Patriots. Recently, on the Good Morning Football NFL talk show, the hosts discussed how it might be fair to have such high expectations from Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers: The Brady of the Jets

While it’s obvious that any team with Rodgers is expected to do well, it is different with the Jets. The Jets have treated Rodgers like the missing puzzle piece needed to go all the way to the Super Bowl. It is not very different compared to what happened when Brady went to the Bucs.

With a set defensive team like the Bucs, Brady just had to come and lead the offense, straight to a Super Bowl. Even the hosts of the show indicated this. Via the Good Morning Football show, he said, “The Jets should have an expectation of a Superbowl doing what Tom Brady does. That’s the level of quarterback that Aaron Rodgers says.”

Furthermore, it would make sense, considering the kind of success Brady’s prowess brought on to the Bucs. He was able to bring on some successful tidings for the ailing Bucs.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers were never a very winning team in the league. In fact, before Brady, they weren’t even able to make the playoffs. However, after a player like Brady appeared for the Bucs, they were able to make it to the playoffs after more than a decade of even stepping foot. Interestingly, Brady was also able to bring them their Second and only Super Bowl win in this decade. And now, Rodgers is going to be expected to pull a similar feat with the Jets.
