The Philadelphia Eagles selected Wentz in the first round as a second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and his stint with the franchise showcased his best performance.

However, things started to go haywire as the former MVP candidate’s tenure in 2017 was cut short as he went down with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, the year Eagles clinched the Super Bowl with his backup Nick Foles leading the team.

After a disappointing final year with the Eagles in 2020 where he led the league in interceptions and sacks, he was later traded to the Indianapolis Colts. But his tenure with the Colts came to an end with the team missing playoffs and dipping to a 9-8 record. He got traded to Washington Commanders, before last season only to lose the starting job to Taylor Heinicke and the franchise letting him go later.
