Tom Brady has always had a great relationship with most of his teammates. This is especially true for the relationships he made during his time in New England. Many of his teammates from his Patriots days have spoken very fondly of him. Furthermore, with his free agency closing by, there have been speculations of him returning to the Patriots. In the vein of this rumor, Danny Amendola spoke about the possibility of returning if Brady asked him.

Will Amendola return for Tom Brady?
Danny Amendola seems like a certified Tom Brady fan. While on Colin Cowherd’s show, Amendola talked with respect and admiration when he spoke of Brady. However, the respect and admiration are hardly surprising. While the two players were on the Patriots, they made a good duo. Due to the relationship they had as teammates, Amendola is ready to confess his feelings about coming back to the league and to the Patriots if Brady asks him.

While on the show, Amendola spoke of the emotional bond that existed within the Patriots when Brady was there. He spoke of his gratitude for Brady and spoke about his willingness to return. Amendola expressed his emotions and said, “Tom’s done a lot for me and if he needs me, I’d always play for Tom,” and indicated his readiness to be there for the quarterback. However, the retired receiver also spoke about the joys of his retirement. This emphasized how much dedication he has for his old teammate.

Amendola on retirement
The 37-year-old was not hesitant to mention the perks of retirement. He spoke about how there are certain simple pleasures he enjoys as a retired player. He said, “You know I’m happy not playing. I got enough football, I played for 14 years in the NFL. Played a lot of football. My knees feel better on Monday this year watching football from the couch.” However, he did mention that he would be ready to give up his life of relaxation to come back and play if Brady asked him to.

Brady certainly seems to inspire incredible loyalty from his teammates. Apart from Amendola, Gronk has also mentioned that he would come back if he wasn’t so happily retired. The loyalty Brady inspires makes one wonder who will Brady himself be loyal to in his upcoming free agency.
