Everyone was treated to one of the greatest nights in the NFL at the Super Bowl LVII. The Kansas City Chiefs won the 2023 edition against the Philadelphia Eagles with a 38-35 score. The action-packed match saw many American football stars showcase their talents, but few stood out. Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was undoubtedly among the stars who shone in the game. Mahomes also put an F1 stars prediction to shame with his heroics.
The Formula 1 star we are talking about is a massive Buffalo Bills fan, as he has expressed multiple times. However, the Bills lost out to Cincinnati Bengals in the divisional round and did not make it to the playoffs. This is why the F1 star, who is obviously Daniel Ricciardo, had to pick between the Chiefs and the Eagles.

Ricciardo, as reported by Planet F1 and quoted by Marca, made his pick based on his amateur analysis. “Early [in the season] I remember watching their games and I felt the defense was really, at least in my eyes, setting them apart.” He further elaborated, “I felt that was just such a strength and I feel like that will be the deciding factor in the Super Bowl.”
Ricciardo made this prediction about the Eagles. However, the heroics of Mahomes put Ricciardo’s prediction to shame as the Chiefs clinched the Super Bowl LVII trophy.

The Australian might still need to follow the sport a little more to make better predictions. However, even NFL enthusiasts can get the prediction of the Super Bowl wrong. Although, Ricciardo is working on becoming a more involved fan, especially since he won’t be on the grid in 2023.

The Australian, as we all know, is only a third driver for Red Bull for the upcoming Formula 1 season. However, Ricciardo won’t be hanging around the track for all 23 races of the season as well. Instead, he will be catching up with his to-do list in his relatively free time.
“I’m actually going to be there (Super Bowl) next week, which is really cool,” Ricciardo revealed. “So that’s another perk about not racing this year. The upside is I will get to do some fun things which deep down I’ve wanted to do for a long time and scratch some itches.”

The Australian will be actively working towards making a comeback to the grid. Although he won’t miss out on this opportunity of staying away from the track, as much as he can, in 2023, including catching up on some NFL action.
