The former tight end for Broncos Shannon Sharpe was on the moon hoping the lower-ranked side would enter into a new era under the quarterback.
Sharon Sharpe got no chill
It’s no wonder how outlandish Sharpe becomes when it comes to the Broncos and its players. The former tight end always finds the right opportunity to mock his counterpart Skip Bayless who is an avid Cowboys fan. According to him, Wilson’s trade has now opened gateways to achieve their high-time dream for a Superbowl title.

Even though the Broncos were successful in getting Wilson, they had a very expensive deal by giving up several picks to their opponents. “In order to get a lot, you have to give up a lot,” Sharpe justified the trade when pointed out by Bayless.

To acquire the Superbowl-winning Quarterback, Broncos had to go through weeks of negotiations. The trade which was considered as one of the biggest in NFL history saw the exchange of expensive players and picks on both sides. The Broncos traded their quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris and several other picks from the queue.
Wilson had initially signed a no-trade provision that vested his powers to overrule the contract. However, he never resorted to doing so and seemed excited to begin a new chapter with the Broncos.
