It’s been four days since Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers came out of his Oregon darkness facility. And Rodgers’ decision has received its fair share of criticism and ridicule since the time he announced it on the Pat McAfee Show. However, fans seem to be slowly coming around as the ESPN First Take host faced significant backlash after her brutal take.
Molly Qerim, who has been the host of the First Take segment since 2015, had some harsh words for 4x NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. Qerim does not understand the rationale behind the ‘darkness retreat’. However, contrary to her expectations, fans didn’t join in the ridicule party.

Super Bowl XLV winner and MVP Aaron Rodgers completed a 4-day isolation and self-reflection stay at the Sky Cave Retreats in South Oregon. Rodgers left on Wednesday, according to the CEO of the retreat, Scott Berman. And Qerim thinks it’s hilarious that Rodgers is deciding his future based on his findings in the retreat.

The quarterback had mentioned on the Pat McAfee show before going in how his friends have previously had profound experiences inside the partially underground 300-square-foot room with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom, and a meditation mat. Qerim disagreed with Rodgers’ method. “Making $60 million next year if he stays (in Green Bay) and spending your free time in a 300-square-foot darkroom. Someone explain that to me. It makes me claustrophobic, gives me nightmares,” Qerim said on Thursday’s First Take.

Aaron Rodgers has a $59.6 million guaranteed salary waiting if he goes back to Green Bay for another year. However, the New York Jets are actively interested in acquiring the quarterback’s services, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowlers.
