There are several questions surrounding the wide receiver group of the Dallas Cowboys. After the news of James Washington’s fractured right foot broke out, the team has been looking for a new wide receiver. The injury left Washington unperformable for six to ten games. The WR will undergo surgery. In the midst of all this, the veteran Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens is waiting on a call from his former boss and mega businessman, Jerry Jones. This might be his opportunity to play in the NFL again.
On a tweet shared by a user, T.O., Jerry Jones, and the official account of the Dallas Cowboys were linked. The tweet talked about hiring the six-times Pro Bowl selected wideout to play for the Cowboys. To which Owens replied, “I’m ready.”

Will Terrell Owens join the Dallas Cowboys?
San Francisco 49ers drafted Terrell Owens in the third round of the 1996 NFL drafts. He was a prolific receiver. T.O. has a career total of 1,078 catches for 15,934 yards, 14.8 yards per catch, and 153 TDs. He played alongside Jerry Rice. Rice is a fellow Hall of Famer himself. Both athletes played together during Owen’s eight seasons with the 49ers. As a free agent, his career received for Philadelphia Eagles (2004-05), Dallas Cowboys (2006-08), Buffalo Bills (2009), and Cincinnati Bengals (2010).

Even though the veteran WR has not played in the NFL since 2010, he still wishes to make a blasting comeback. And according to him, what better way to make a comeback to the team one already has been a part of? The 48-year-old has recently competed in the Fan Controlled Football League. Time and again Owens has expressed his desire to play in the NFL again.
“I’m not your typical 48-year-old,” Owens said. “I think anybody that has seen me … everybody sees the speed is there. There’s a few athletes that can defy the odds or have defied the odds. And I honestly feel like I’m one of those guys.”

However, Jerry Jones revealed that at the moment, he is not interested in acquiring veteran receivers for the team. Ultimately, fans can only wait to witness how the incidents roll out.
