Trevor Lawrence has been popularly nicknamed ‘Mr Saturday’ for his undefeated status on Saturdays in college football. Lawrence has had a remarkable season, leading the Jaguars to the top of the AFC South. Spearheading the Jags’ offense, he threw for more than 4,000 yards at nearly a 67% completion rate on the season. Lawrence was among the better QBs across the league this year, and his numbers on the stat board and in the wins column reflect the same.
Fans destroy Trevor Lawrence for ‘phoney’ stat
Fans were surprised to see Lawrence’s undefeated status on Saturday nights. But many fans called out the stat for being ‘phoney’ and worthless for its misleading nature. For context, over his 2 seasons in the NFL, Lawrence has only played in 1 Saturday Night football game. A strikingly low number of games to base a statistic upon. As these fans pointed out:
LMFAO what a useless stat he's only played in 1 Saturday game in the NFL that's all that matters here 😂
