“Y’all Keep Rodgers Name…”: NFL Fans Enraged As Aaron Rodgers, $245 Million Russell Wilson Named In Expensive List

Aaron Rodgers used to be considered one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He is a 3 time MVP champion with a powerfully accurate arm. However, this season has not been kind to the quarterback. Furthermore, with playoff rankings revealing the teams that made the cut, all the QBs of teams that did not make playoffs came under fan scrutiny.

Rodgers is one of the more prominent among those QBs. Therefore, when a list of highly paid QBs went viral on Twitter, fans had some interesting comments on the unsuccessful season the QBs and their teams have had. Notably, Rodgers and his  Green Bay Packers were the most prominent among them.

The Twitterverse was buzzing with some QB hate recently. Reporter Dov Kleiman’s tweet regarding some of the highest-paid quarterbacks came to light. The tweet spoke about how highly paid-quarterbacks had failed to make the playoffs.

Fans had some very mixed opinions about why QBs like Rodgers and Wilson appeared on the list. There seemed to be an intense discussion among the fans. One fan’s comment earned a response from the reporter himself.

Furthermore, there were fans who believed only two of the QBs should be blamed.

However, there were fans who stood up for Rodgers, citing his past achievements.

Fans also had a general consensus on overpriced QBs in teams and their impact.

Additionally, some fans spoke about how Rodgers’ salary might have been exaggerated.

Subsequently, fans stood for Rodgers and reminded people of his past achievements.

While a lot of the fans agreed with the fact that a lot of the QBs were grossly overpaid, fans were quick to defend Rodgers. Fans believed that Rodgers has proven himself with excellent performances in previous seasons, whereas other QBs still have a lot to prove. Furthermore, fans might be defending their QB for the last time.

Will Rodgers retire?

After a disappointing end to their playoff dream, it seems almost natural for Rodgers to be down in the dumps. Much to the fans’ fear, it might be probable that this disappointing end might become Old Man Rodgers’ exit from the league itself. Rodgers spoke about how it might be time to step away for him from the game.

The list that came out might have been a little brutal, but in the fans’ eyes, Rodgers doesn’t seem like he has anything to prove. However, the question that remains after such a disappointing season is whether will we see AR12 in Packers colors again or whether have we seen the last of A-Rod.
