The stage is set for the 2024 Copa America. After eight years, the prestigious tournament is set to be hosted by the United States of America. Among all the world-class stadiums in the country, Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium is one of the designated venues. While it may have hosted over six NFL Super Bowls and two MLB World Series, hosting the Copa America Final could potentially be the most significant game in the stadium’s history.

Additionally, the United States continues to expand its presence in global soccer. After the 2024 CONMEBOL event, it will be co-hosting another iconic event which is the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Why will the 2024 Copa America final be bigger than the NFL Super Bowl and MLB World Series?

The USA has a big responsibility on its shoulders to host the 2024 Copa America. Notably, the inaugural game is scheduled for June 20, 2024, at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Meanwhile, the final will take place on July 14 at Miami Gardens’ Hard Rock Stadium. It’s the final in Florida, which will have the eyes of many, proving to be one of the biggest events that the stadium will host. This is because of the tournament’s popularity. After the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro, it’s obvious that Copa America has the upper hand.

The CONMEBOL event is the third-most-watched international soccer competition in the world. It is known that the very same stadium has hosted multiple Super Bowls and World Series. Both hold a special place in the hearts of American audiences. The viewership for these events is in the millions for both American football and baseball. Yet the steadfast growth of soccer, especially in the States, will change it.

Notably, beIN Sports reported earlier that the previous edition of the Copa America and UEFA Euro combined brought a viewership of over a billion. This transcends the TV ratings and numbers of the NFL and MLB tournaments.
