The negative attention seems to have an uncanny knack for seeking out Neymar. No matter his efforts to maintain a positive image, the player gets in the dirt. Even critics consistently find avenues to tarnish the reputation of the Brazilian superstar. This time, it’s a renowned journalist from his own country who has unveiled a scathing critique of the Al Hilal star on a personal level.

Simultaneously, in a cruel twist of fate, injury has once again struck the soccer veteran. The 31-year-old left his fans and well-wishers heartbroken as he exited his last Brazil fixture on crutches.

After Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar is a name that is often echoed in the soccer world. Yet the Al Hilal superstar has faced a lot of criticism. This time, he is facing objections from Milly Lacombe. As per UOL and translated by DeepL, he said, “I can screw myself up a lot by saying this, but for me Neymar is a hopeless case. We need to evaluate him not only as a player but also as a human being because things are interconnected.”

Lacombe then reiterated claims made by another journalist, Jose Carlos Araujo, asserting that Neymar left the field against Venezuela while “shouting, swearing, and complaining.” He also questioned João Cozac’s assertion that Neymar doesn’t need a psychologist on the national team. “The first time I saw Neymar play in the Copinha, I cried, I really cried in the box, because I knew I was facing something sacred, but life didn’t make it so,” he added.

Indeed, these are quite bold claims from the journalist. The soccer veteran is yet to respond to any of them. He is yet to make his mark for his domestic side Al Hilal. Furthermore, to compound matters, he recently endured a seemingly scathing injury during the recent World Cup qualifiers.

Another injury for Neymar!

The injuries seem to have taken a toll on Neymar. Once again, Al Hilal No. 10 has suffered another knee injury. The forward departed the field in tears during the first half of Brazil’s 2-0 loss in the World Cup qualifier against Uruguay. The 31-year-old forward stumbled and fell during a sprint. He immediately drew the attention of players from both teams as he clutched his left knee.

The forward was subsequently taken off the field on a stretcher, shielding his face with his hands. Hours later, he left the stadium with crutches. Notably, Richarlison came in as his replacement. This development certainly isn’t good news for Al Hilal. Let’s hope it isn’t a serious injury, as it could spell bad news for both Neymar and his domestic team.
