According to sports broadcaster Ben Jacobs, the Saudi Pro League has agreed to a change in rule for the 2024/25 season. In line with the new rule, Saudi teams will have 25 players on their roster, with an increase within the foreign player restriction to 10.

Currently, the restriction on international players that a team can register is only eight.
