Moments ago, Argentina and Brazil played their World Cup qualifier clash. After a few minutes of delay due to the altercation between fans, the match was finally concluded. In yet another fearsome clash filled with drama, it was Lionel Messi and Co. that came on top as they clinched a narrow victory against Neymar-less Brazil. The result has sent the soccer fraternity into a frenzy as they are hailing the World Champions. 

Sadly, Lionel Messi was substituted after suffering an injury and was replaced by Angel Di Maria.

After cooling down the atmosphere at the Maracana Stadium, the match eventually kicked off in high spirits. Both sides tussled to break their deadlock, and during the process, Brazil even got three yellow cards. Unfortunately, neither side was able to find the back of the net, ending the first half in a stalemate. 

As the second half began, both sides again tried to pull each other’s strings. Interestingly, in the 63rd minute, Argentina managed to break the deadlock after a perfect corner from Giovani Lo Celso was converted by Nicolas Otamendi. Unfortunately, moments after that, Messi was substituted after an injury. Additionally, things went downhill for Brazil as Joelinton was sent off in the 81st minute. The final whistle blew as Argentina won 0-1 against Brazil. After the match, the stage was taken by fans who were busy hailing Argentina.
