While the single-player doesn’t quite deliver anything more compelling than a chance to get used to the game’s style, the multiplayer seems primed to offer up plenty for those who have been waiting for an experience like this for quite some time.

I initially thought that Star Wars Squadrons’ single-player campaign was simply there to prep you for the multiplayer, and to an extent it is. But it’s not as barebones as I expected and I came away thoroughly impressed and itching to dive into the multiplayer.”

Squadrons’ single-player may fizzle out frequently like a malfunctioning hyperdrive motivator, but the multiplayer continually impresses and is worth the price of entry alone. Flying in formation with a group of friends put a smile on my face, and that was just the calm before the storm.

VG247- 4/5

“Nothing in Squadrons is really wasted – in fact, it feels like the development team behind it has been extremely economic.”

Vandal- 8.4/10

There are no plans to expand the game in the future with more modes, ships, or battlefields. And although this is not a defect as such, we could not avoid missing having the possibility of fighting at different times of the saga to be able to pilot more types of fighters.” (translated using Google Translate)

In conclusion, the game has mostly gotten positive reviews in regards to the single-player mode. A few reviews are pending due to the multiplayer servers, some of which are still not live.

While there is a possibility that the single-player mode would get repetitive after a period, the multiplayer will most definitely keep things fresh and exciting. Star Wars Squadron releases for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 2.
