Roger Federer, the Swiss maestro, displayed his comedic side once more. Fans enjoy the 20-time Grand Slam champion’s sense of humor and his lighthearted dad jokes. However, since his retirement, besides his presence on the court, tennis fans have also missed his goofy jokes. However, the former world’s number one tennis player, after a long time, pulled another player’s leg with his hilarious joke.

If you are a Federer fan, you definitely remember all the funny moments with the tennis legend following his retirement. Last year, we got to hear a lot of H2O and salt jokes from the Laver Cup, but his recent comeback humor is worth waiting for.

Roger Federer’s dad joke on Ben Shelton

The 20-time Grand Slam champion’s sportswear brand ON recently welcomed a new tennis player to their team. The Swiss sportswear brand has signed Ben Shelton, and to welcome the American tennis player, the official Instagram page of the sportswear brand shared a heartwarming message welcoming the newest member to the ON tennis family.

However, over that message, the 20-time Grand Slam champion commented with a hilarious joke making fun of the 20-year-old American tennis player’s name. He commented on the post, “SheltON,” highlighting the letters O and N in his name, drawing a hilarious connection between him and the sports brand. The Australian Open quarterfinalist also replied to the humorous remark with laughing-out-loud emojis.

However, whether it be in any discussion, even a serious one, the Swiss ace always finds a way to put on his hilarious cap. Last year, the 20-time Grand Slam champion gave a hilarious reply when asked about the NBA GOAT debate, giving the whole GOAT discussion a different humorous outlook.

The time when Federer dismissed the NBA GOAT debate with a joke

Last year, following his retirement announcement, the tennis legend was asked about who, according to him, was the real GOAT between NBA stars LeBron James and Michael Jordan. The Swiss maestro, in an interview with AP,  joked when asked about his pick in the GOAT debate.

He stated that some say that MJ is the GOAT, but some statistics believe James is. And focused on how everybody is just calling each other “GOAT.” As Federer was not able to choose his side, he hysterically said that in Switzerland we have a lot of goats but they are in the field, addressing the fact that there cannot be possibly so many GOATs on the basketball court.
