“I Did Not Announce It To Anger The Other Players” – Novak Djokovic Reveals Training Amid Lockdowns

17-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic will soon be seen on the tennis courts, as he has signed up to play at the Adria Tour event alongside Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev, and Grigor Dimitrov.
Amid the lockdowns, where most of the tennis players were confined within their houses. They did not have the opportunity to train. Unlike his colleagues, Djokovic had the privilege to train every day at his residence in Marbella, Spain.
He owns a hard court in his Marbella residence. And Novak has arduously trained during the suspension period and now he feels positive about resuming tennis in 2020.

“I had the opportunity to train every day: we had a tennis court on the property where I was staying. I did not announce it so as not to anger the other players. It feels good, I can tell you that I even worked a lot,” Novak Djokovic stated (according to SportsKlub).
During the first week of May, Djokovic had broken the confinement rules in Spain. As he stepped on the tennis courts of Marbella tennis academy wherein a strict lockdown was imposed. Later, the Spanish club apologized to the Serbian legend as they miscommunicated the information.

Novak Djokovic excited to play at the Adria Tour
Up next Novak will be seen on the courts of Belgrade, Serbia of the Adria Tour event on June 13, 2020. “I am extremely happy to play in front of the local audience and to travel around the region. The event is humanitarian in nature, all proceeds go to humanitarian organizations. My Foundation will be one of those. World stars who come will choose where to donate the money,” he said.
World Number one Djokovic is hoping for the regulations to be changed by then and he’s looking forward to having an audience.
