Superstar Rafael Nadal has ended the 2020 tennis season as one of the top earners.
Rafael Nadal pocketed more than 3 million euros in 2020
Nadal, who is tied with Roger Federer at 20 Grand Slam titles apiece, finished the season with the third biggest purse with more than three million euros – 3,224,135 euros to be precise.

He also clinched his 20th Major title at the French Open this year.

Novak Djokovic topped with earnings of 5.44 milion euros
The Serb clinched his 17th Grand Slam crown at the Australian Open and also reached his sixth career year-end number one ranking this year, equaling Pete Sampras.
Thiem, who was voted Austria’s ‘Athlete of the Year’, won his maiden Major title at the US Open and made the title-round of the prestigious ATP Finals for the second straight year.

Djokovic topped the earners’ pile, pocketing 5.44 million euros, while Thiem came a close second with net earnings of 5.04 million euros.
Daniil Medvedev at fourth in the top earners’ list
Rising Russian star Daniil Medvedev, who lifted his maiden ATP Finals trophy this year, ranked fourth in the earners’ list.
The Russian, who towers comfortably over six feet, also took the championship honors at the Rolex Paris Masters.

German Alexander Zverev, this year’s US Open finalist, trailed the top four earners at five, followed by Russian Andrey Rublev, long-haired Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and Argentine Diego Schwartzman in sixth, seventh and ninth respectively.

Rublev had a breakthrough season this year, winning five Tour titles, the most this calendar. His run of title-wins saw him qualify for the ATP Finals for the first time in his career.
While Nadal clinched the third place in the money-makers’ list this season, fellow Spaniards Pablo Carreno Busta and Roberto Bautista Agut also had a fair share of earnings this year.
