Team USA and Iran will face off in the Olympics on Tuesday. Both teams are coming off a loss in their opener and will now look to redeem themselves in the coming matchup.

Team USA suffered a more embarrassing defeat as they lost to France in their opener. USA had the lead until the last minutes of the final quarter. This is when France stepped it up as they went off on a 16-2 run to win the game 83-76. Fournier had a monster night as he put up 28 points in France’s triumph over USA.

On the other hand, Iran lost to the Czech Republic. However, they did not go down without a fight. With the Czechs leading by as much as 22 in the 4th, the Iranians cut it down to 4 points with less than a minute left in the game. But their late-game energy did not prove enough as they lost 84-78.
