Light heavyweight great Jon Jones has decided to enter the heavyweight roster and has vacated his former title. Now, Jan Blachowicz and Dominick Reyes will battle for the light heavyweight belt at UFC 253 on September 27.

However, Jon Jones’ inception into the heavyweight mix is still to be confirmed. So, where does that leave him at this point? Clearly not in the light heavyweight roster.

That said, Blachowicz recently made an alarming statement, claiming that Jon ‘Bones’ Jones doesn’t exist for him at this point.

Now, a few months ago, it was rumored that Jones and Blachowicz would fight for the title. However, amid all the turmoil, Jones departed the division. Hence, he is no longer relevant for the upcoming title contenders.

Jan Blachowicz has something to say for Jon Jones

In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, the Polish fighter opened up on his title fight, shedding light on several aspects. Currently, he is solely focussed on Dominick Reyes and is confident about sporting the title.

While Jon Jones may have bid adieu to the division, light heavyweight fighters continue to talk about him. That is hardly surprising given the fact that ‘Bones’ has been the top-most elite of the roster for many years. No wonder Blachowicz also had something to offer.
