The third install of the ‘Creed’ movie franchise, ‘Creed 3’has taken over the box office by storm. The Michael B. Jordan-starred movie, produced by Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone, delivered a great deal of enjoyment to the fans. Moreover, the former UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, posted a story on Instagram after witnessing the movie.
‘The Last Stylebender’ was earlier approached to appear on ‘Creed 3’ late last year as he was approaching his fight against Alex Pereira at UFC 281. He once said in an interview, “I would’ve filmed for Creed 3 probably maybe two weeks ago. But, I turned it down.”
He added, ” [MMA] is what I’m doing right now. I’m great at this.” He wanted to focus on fighting first and then think about his acting endeavors.

‘Creed 3’ was the fourth acting opportunity Israel Adesanya rejected. However, he did go on to watch the movie in theaters and posted about it on social media. He had a positive response to the Michael B. Jordan-starred movie based on the sport of boxing.
‘Creed 3’ was “personal” for Israel Adesanya
Israel Adesanya applauded the movie and claimed that the movie felt personal to him. He wrote in his Instagram story: “This movie felt personal…On so many levels. Bravo!!” Izzy claims to have been touched by the movie in more ways than one. Despite rejecting the opportunity to act in the movie, he appeared to be appreciative of the work done by Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut, which the actor had wanted to do for a long time.
My directorial debut?! Still sounds crazy to say but there's no film that has been more personal to me and no film I've felt more ready to steer. Excited to share the first trailer for Creed 3. To my cast & crew thanks for working so hard to continue the legacy of the franchise. pic.twitter.com/PSbOr2usdH

It would’ve been a great achievement for ‘The Last Stylebender’ if he had been a part of the movie’s success. However, there were other combat sports athletes in the movie, like Canelo Alvarez, who reprised the role of ‘Saul’ and former professional boxer Tony Bellew, who reprised the role of ‘Pretty’ Ricky Conlan’. Bellew also made an appearance in the franchise’s first movie as the same character.
Israel Adesanya may have missed out on being a part of ‘Creed 3’s success, but has tried his luck in voice acting. He lent the voice to one of the characters in Netflix’s anime ‘Baki Hanma’, named ‘Chamomile Lessen’.

However, it is unlikely that he will get involved in movies anytime soon as he prepares for a rematch with his rival, Alex Pereira. ‘The Last Stylebender’ has mentioned that his focus is more on beating Pereira than winning the championship back. We will have to wait and see what unfolds.
