Jake Paul Provides a Major Update on Two-Fight Deal With Nate Diaz

Jake Paul shocked the MMA world after the Professional Fighters League (PFL) announced the signing of ‘The Problem Child’ on a multi-fight deal. He even sent a proposal for a two-fight offer to MMA veteran Nate Diaz. Moreover, Jake Paul has recently said that the former ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ winner could probably be his first MMA opponent.

The 26-year-old has been successful in his boxing career so far, amassing a 6-fight undefeated record in the process. However, he has now decided to take over the sport of MMA. He will be fighting under the Superfight division of the PFL. ‘The Problem Child’ has set his sights on MMA free agent, Nate Diaz.

Paul‘s 2-fight deal with Nate Diaz includes one boxing match and an MMA fight. Many people think that the former UFC fighter is at the forefront of welcoming the YouTube superstar into the world of mixed martial arts. Michael Benson of ‘talkSport’ has shed some light on this development on social media.

Jake Paul believes he will excel in MMA

Michael Benson has reported that ‘The Problem Child’ stated that the talks regarding the fight with Nate Diaz are “pretty far along”. The 26-year-old spoke with the Dailymail’ and explained the 2-fight proposal. “We offered a two-fight deal to Nate Diaz, one for boxing and one for MMA,” said Paul. He added, “That could definitely happen and he could definitely be my first MMA opponent, 100 per cent.”

Jake Paul claims that he could fare well in MMA, considering his background in boxing and wrestling during his time in high school. He said, “I have the wrestling background, I have the better boxing than all of them, so I’ve really just got to learn the kicks and the takedown defence.” 

The beef between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul started last year. The former UFC fighter was involved in a backstage brawl during the Anderson Silva vs Jake Paul boxing match in 2022. As a result of the scuffle, security escorted Nate Diaz out of the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Jake Paul is gearing up for his upcoming fight against Tommy Fury. They had canceled this fight two times earlier for various reasons.
