Jorge Masvidal Predicts a Violent Finish for Tyron Woodley in his Bout Against Jake Paul

Former UFC title challenger Jorge Masvidal spoke out on the Punchin In podcast alongside American Top Team owner Dan Lambert. Chiefly, Masvidal spent over an hour in the studio and went over everything that he’s doing inside and outside of MMA. ‘Gamebred’ has been making many moves as of late including his foray into fight promotion with Gamebred FC bare-knuckle organization.
As the show wrapped up, Masvidal sat down to answer some rapid-fire questions which included one on Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley. Masvidal’s ATT teammate in Tyron Woodley is debuting in the sport of boxing against Paul on August 29. Jorge Masvidal had no doubt in his mind that Tyron Woodley would go out and put on a show against ‘The Problem Child’.

Masvidal and Woodley used to fight in the welterweight division until Woodley parted ways with the UFC earlier this year. Not to mention, they have a storied association that predates the UFC when they competed under the Strike Force banner. From Masvidal’s viewpoint, the fight will not even be close when both men step in the ring.

As mentioned earlier, Woodley left the UFC after his submission loss to Vicente Luque which got him to a four-fight skid. At 38-years old, it wasn’t a huge surprise to many to Tyron Woodley’s best days were behind him for the most part. Not to mention, he’s openly talked about venturing into other avenues that include rapping and acting.

On the other hand, Jake Paul is just getting started in a life rooted in combat sports as he’s 3-0 as a boxer. The former Disney channel star is serious about being a prizefighter and so far he’s managed to make waves. ‘The Problem Child’ has several people calling him out including UFC fighters and high-profile celebrities.

Paul vs Woodley is a feature bout that makes sense given where both men are in their respective careers. Moreover, the genre of crossover fights has really taken off and the bout is expected to make an impact at the box office.
