UFC star Israel Adesanya faced the full brunt of MMA fans’ scathing remarks when he specified his intent to settle the score with his arch-rival Alex Pereira. While he followed up with more verbal engagement, his comments didn’t sit well with the MMA community, which showed him the mirror. The former UFC champion prepares on a war front for his rematch against ‘Poatan’ at UFC 287. Further, their second encounter inside the Octagon, and their fourth overall, might close their intense rivalry that dates back to their kickboxing days. The New Zealander, who is railing back 0-3, however, resolved to have the last laugh.
Notably, the 33-year-old took to his Twitter handle as he laid bare his intentions. He argued how the one who had the last laugh lasted best. The comment signified the middleweight fighter’s determination but left him stranded by the searing comments from the fans.

If he wins. It's still 3-1. It'll be cool if he avenges his losses, but it doesn't mean he's the better fighter overall.

even if you win it’s still 1-3 😂 You’d have to beat Alex 4 times in a row just to be up on him lmao

Markedly, Israel Adesanya squares off against Alex Pereira in the UFC rematch at UFC 297 on April 8 in Miami’s Miami-Dade Arena. In their previous matchup at UFC 281, the former Glory Champion snatched the UFC gold from Adesanya. The championship tussle turned out to be a replay of their past meetings from Glory as the #1 ranked middleweight succumbed to Pereira’s thunderous left punch.

“Like I said, they can say whatever they want. It’s 1-0 or 3-0. I don’t keep score, I settle them, and I just need one. And I’m going to get it done,” he added later on.
