Conor McGregor Gives His Seal of Approval as Jorge Masvidal-Assaulted Colby Covington’s Images Are Released

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has proved time and time again that he is not scared to beef with fighters, even if they are from a different weight class. He proved it yet again by giving his seal of approval on a post that showed images of Colby Covington’s injuries following Jorge Masvidal’s alleged assault.

The alleged assault took place almost two weeks ago. Last night, pictures of Covington’s injuries were finally released to the public. The Mac Life took the initiative to post these on their Instagram feed. In the post, we can see Covington’s chipped tooth and his busted lip. There were also marks below his eyes, which Masvidal could have potentially caused.

McGregor has given his sign of approval by liking this post, although he hasn’t given his two cents by directly addressing the situation. It is a well-known fact that McGregor doesn’t get along well with the two and has criticized them multiple times before.

McGregor is a former dual weight class champion and has shown that he doesn’t fear fighting in a different weight classes. He primarily fights in the lightweight division but has also fought in the featherweight and welterweight divisions.

McGregor has made quite a lot of enemies in the welterweight division, including the likes of Covington, Masvidal, Diaz, and even champion Kamaru Usman. If McGregor enters welterweight again, he will have enough names to pick for as his next opponent.

The last time he moved up, he faced Stockton’s very own Nate Diaz at welterweight. Moving up didn’t go according to plan, as he suffered a defeat in the first fight. The revenge bout also happened at welterweight, with McGregor looking better this time around and securing the win in a close match.

After suffering an injury in his last fight against foe Dustin Poirier, the Irishman has posted pictures of him bulking and hitting the gym. Considering these points, the next time we see McGregor fight will likely be in the welterweight division.
