While there are many polarizing topics in the MMA community, two of them trump them all. One, the never-ending GOAT discussion, and two, who’s on steroids? Regardless of Nate Diaz‘s ‘everybody is on steroids’ jibe, the community can’t help but speculate which fighter is on the secret juice. The current target of these speculations? Conor McGregor!

The former two-division UFC champion was last seen in a losing effort against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, a match that ended following a devastating leg injury to the Irishman. Since then, the fighter seems to have made a tremendous comeback. Something which is seen in his insane transformation pictures, giving hope to those praying for his return. But apart from hyping up his comeback, these pictures have also sparked discussions on possible PED use by the Irishman. However, it seems like the former champion’s manager has a different perspective.

Ever since Conor McGregor’s transformation pictures went viral, the fighter has found himself constantly targeted with steroid accusations. The insane amount of bulk that ‘The Notorious’ has put on in such a brief span of time seems to be the reason behind these speculations, further fueled by McGregor’s tussle with USADA.

But Conor McGregor’s manager, Audie Attar, seems to be dismissive about these speculations. According to him, Conor McGregor is one of the most tested athletes in the history of the sport. If he is to be believed, the Irishman will soon return to action, likely against his rival coach on TUF, Michael Chandler. Something for which they are already in talks with USADA and UFC. Denying the steroid allegations on his client, Attar said: “And think about Conor McGregor, people will speculate, and stories run wild that are nine times out of ten very inaccurate and false. So that’s all I’ll say about that.”

These words of Attar come after his client’s rant about drugs. Dismissing the efficacy of PEDs, Conor’s own words: “The drugs don’t work. They just make you worse, but I know I’ll see your face again.”

In the past, many UFC fighters have been caught by the testing agency for possible steroid violations. This includes former champion Anderson Silva, who tested positive back in 2015, interestingly in his UFC comeback following a gruesome leg injury sustained in his rematch with Chris Weidman.

Further in the interview, Audie Attar also predicted a possible comeback for Conor McGregor. According to the manager, the 35-year-old fighter will make his octagon return sometime next year likely against his rival coach in the ongoing season of TUF, Michael Chandler. And if Attar is to be believed, this is something that both McGregor and the UFC want.
