A fight between Conor McGregor vs Jake Paul is not something UFC president Dana White is interested in. Since his viral KO on the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. card, Paul’s stock has been on the rise. He is now looking to capitalize on his success in the ring by challenging UFC superstar Conor McGregor to a boxing exhibition.
The Paul brothers have a massive social media following. The two have made a venture into the boxing world, and it seems like things are going pretty well. Logan Paul recently announced a bout with Floyd Mayweather, while Jake brutally knocked out NBA veteran Nate Robinson. After that fight, Jake would call for an immediate fight with ‘Notorious‘.

Conor McGregor vs Jake Paul
Conor made his boxing debut back in August 2017. He took on undefeated Floyd Mayweather in what is the biggest PPV in sports history. However, McGregor was out of his element as he was stopped in ten rounds by Mayweather.
TMZ managed to get hold of the UFC president as he prepares for the UFC’s last PPV of the year. Dana White was asked what he thought of a potential McGregor vs Paul fight. He said, “Conor McGregor is one of the greatest fighters on Earth right now. He shouldn’t be fighting kids that have f–king YouTube videos.”

White would go on to cement the statement saying there was a ‘zero percent’ chance that the fight ever happens. White had planned to get into boxing with ‘Zuffa Boxing’ but the pandemic has put those ideas on hold.
Dana would make clear that he’s not in the business of making these types of fights, even if they are exhibitions. The UFC president continued to say, “There’s a market for these kinda fights. It’s just not what I do.”
“There will be a day when Conor McGregor could do these types of fights and make a bunch of money, … but it ain’t happening anytime soon.”

Conor returns at UFC 257
McGregor started 2020 for the UFC. He faced Donald Cerrone at UFC 246, winning by first-round TKO over Cowboy. The Notorious one had to be kept on the sidelines with the lockdown restrictions, as the UFC would not hold any live events.
McGregor is now set to face Dustin Poirier. The two lightweights last fought early in their careers at 145 pounds, with Conor getting the first-round finish over Poirier. Almost six years from their last fight, the two will now step in the octagon together, much different from the young fighters they were.
