UFC heavyweights Ciryl Gane and Jon Jones will battle it out at UFC 285 for the Heavyweight title. This comes after Francis Ngannou leaves the premier MMA promotion and may try out his luck in boxing. Fellow heavyweight fighter Curtis Blaydes has reacted to the news of ‘Bon Gamin’ getting yet another UFC title fight. He also indicated he understands why the promotion might set him up with a rising heavyweight star. UFC president Dana White appeared at the post-fight press conference of UFC Vegas 67. He announced that Francis Ngannou will not be re-signing with the UFC and is due to be released from the promotion. In addition to that, White also mentioned that the heavyweight will be up for grabs.

Curtis Blaydes has been on a 3-fight winning streak and is looking to move up the heavyweight ladder. He has reacted to Gane getting another title shot and stated that he is fine with that. But ‘Razor’ also mentioned that he only wants to fight higher-ranked opponents.

Blaydes added, “I get why Gane got the shot and it wasn’t based off meritocracy … the UFC is always gonna to match make based off who puts the most a**es in the stands and eyes on the fight.”
