“Incorrect” – 34-Year-Old Conor McGregor Told He Has “Cardio Issues”, the UFC Star Fires Back

Conor McGregor is a huge personality in the UFC. The former double-division champion has achieved a lot as a UFC fighter. However, the Notorious was unable to beat Dustin Poirier in his previous match. The 34-year-old suffered an injury in the same fight and didn’t step into the Octagon again. Recently, the Irish athlete announced that he’s excited to come back to the fighting game after a long break.
But, a fan called him out and tried to insult the Dubliner for his choice of words. Needless to say, McGregor gave a typical response that we’ve come to expect from him over the years.

Conor McGregor gave a bitter response to a fan for calling out his cardiovascular issues on Twitter. The Irish superstar commonly engages in arguments with his fans, but this time, he was very serious.

A fan pointed out a weakness in McGregor’s game and said “It’s a marathon not a sprint” -dude who’s had cardio issues his whole career”
The fan probably said this statement after observing Conor McGregor throughout his career. McGregor almost never makes it to the latter rounds with his stamina intact. The fighter loses out on a lot of gas through his swings and kicks in the earlier rounds.

This allows for the patient opponents, such as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Floyd Mayweather, to exploit his weakness. Staying patient and tiring ‘Mystic Mac’ seems to be an effective strategy for his opponents.

But that’s not the case, according to the man himself. He said it was an “Unfounded dribble” and denied the accusation.
The Notorious’ history with Dustin Poirier
The ‘Mystic Mac’ posted a picture of him getting the better of Dustin Poirier during their UFC 264 tussle.

In the picture, he lands a clean left hook on ‘The Diamond’ who is lunging into an attack of his own. Ultimately, the UFC264 went in favor of Poirier, who was declared the winner at the end of round 1.
So, there is a chance that the Irishman felt as if they robbed him of the victory. Maybe he would’ve gotten a favorable result if his leg were fine. But, he definitely regrets losing that match as he took a break from the action to recover from that injury.
