Jorge Masvidal’s Rival Wants “Very Bad” End for Conor McGregor in 2023 UFC Return

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are expected to face each other inside the octagon toward the latter half of the year. ‘The Notorious’ is all set to make his return to the UFC after facing a horrific leg injury in 2021. However, his return is much anticipated, but a win may not seem that easy as ‘Iron’ poses a threat to the former UFC lightweight champion. This fight has gotten the fans and rivals excited and many have started forming their opinions.

Moreover, one UFC fighter who is set to face Jorge Masvidal at UFC 287 has given his verdict on the upcoming fight. He comes with a straight answer as he wishes his friend to get a convincing victory over ‘The Mystic Mac’ as he looks for challenges in the welterweight division.

Gilbert Burns gives his prediction for Chandler vs McGregor fight

Gilbert Burns recently appeared in an interview with Submission Radio. The UFC welterweight was asked a series of questions pertaining to his Sanford MMA teammate Michael Chandler. The intriguing conversation that ‘Durinho’ had in the interview was his prediction of the fight between the two lightweights.

Burns answered, “I think it’s a tough fight for Michael.” The UFC welterweight showed great support for his teammate. He continued, “I don’t think it’s an easy fight, but I hope not Michael knock him out very bad. I never hope that to no one, you know. But I hope Michael gets a good win, you know. I don’t wanna wish nothing bad for Conor…”

Burns had mixed feelings for ‘The Notorious’ before the fight. However, there was not a shred of doubt in his mind that Chandler will be victorious if they faced each other in the octagon.

The Brazilian fighter had some very kind words for ‘The Mystic Mac’. Moreover, Burns continued further, “The guy is a two-time champion. Helped to change the sport. Didn’t make the right choice sometimes, but it is what it is. I just hope Michael wins and I’m gonna do everything in my power to help Michael to get prepared. I hope Michael gets to finish, you know.”

However, ‘Durinho’ will be looking for a ‘money’ fight against the Irishman himself further in his career. But this time he seems excited to help his friend ‘Iron Mike’ top secure a big win against Conor McGregor. He is also focused on his upcoming bout against Jorge ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal.
