Jan Blachowicz was recently involved in a very close fight with Magomed Ankalaev. Initially, Blachowicz thought that the match that ended in a split draw should have been won by Magomed Ankalaev. He even proceeded to point his hand toward the Russian during the declaration of the result. However, Blachowicz has something else to say about the results of the match when he took to Twitter. The fighter has gone against what everyone thought.

Jan Blachowicz thinks a draw is a fair verdict as opposed to Joe Rogan

During the post-match octagon interview, Jan Blachowicz answered Joe Rogan that he needed to watch the fight to give his opinion. However, he did say that he did not win the fight, nor did he think he lost.

Jan Blachowicz said in a tweet, “Let me reiterate something. First – I honestly don’t think the fight was terrible at all. Second – I don’t feel I’ve won but neither that I lost. A draw was fair.”

Blachowicz added in another tweet, “End result – One dude cried and talked about his supposed injuries, another dude showed that honor can be and still is upheld in this game. I’m glad the fans see it and appreciate it for what it is.”

Joe Rogan may not completely agree with ‘The Polish Powerhouse’s statement. According to Rogan, Magomed Ankalaev should be the sole fighter to have his hand raised at the end of the fight.

What’s next for Jan Blachowicz?

Ideally, ‘The Polish Powerhouse’ will be looking to get a shot at the title next. However, he has been pushed back in line for a title shot as Dana has recently announced that he will be having Texeira and Hill face each other for the UFC light heavyweight title at UFC 283 in Brazil.

Blachowicz has only a couple of title shots left in him as he nears the age of 40. Subsequently, he shall aim for whatever he has left in the tank and go all guns blazing to make his case for the title match.

What do you think about the main event of UFC 282? Do you want to see a rematch of Blachowicz and Ankalaev?
