Smith also fell into the same bracket until he resolved to bring drastic but positive changes to his lifestyle. Besides, another person played a significant part in his transformative journey, UFC president Dana White.
The famed American TV personality didn’t instill the habit of discipline initially, and it became more demanding with age. In addition, the excessive consumption of sugar and fast food also exacerbated the health issues. Smith realized the gravity of the problems that plagued him when contracting COVID almost killed him. That turned out to be his wake-up call, and he then started prioritizing health over wealth.

The 55-year-old narrated his health journey to boxing legend Mike Tyson when he appeared on his podcast, Hotboxin’. The world-known figure revealed he replaced sugar with blueberries and meat with fish. Furthermore, he mentioned the UFC head honcho and “his guy Gary Brecka” also helped him “along the way”.
He said, “Dana White, president of the UFC, introduced me to that 10x Health Group… and also his guy Gary Brecka has been working with me as well. They’re not the only people I talk to, but they’ve definitely helped me along the way, you know. And it’s just important.”

He then disclosed while he felt better, he still had some work left to improve upon. But he prioritized his efforts to pursue the best he could be.
He stated, “I mean, I feel better than I felt in a long time. I still got ways to go. But I prioritize that more and more and more because I’m striving to be the best that I can be. How can I pull that off if I don’t do anything to take care of myself?”
