When Conor McGregor left the T-Mobile Arena on a stretcher at UFC 264, the nature of the stoppage left the fans in a disappointing state. While the crowd expected a back-and-forth fight between two prolific strikers, the hyped fight was a brief affair. Notably, the Irishman lost the bout due to a medical stoppage as he sustained an ugly leg injury in the fight.

As the crowd went into a frenzy after Dustin Poirier’s combination and McGregor’s stumble toward the end of the first round, one man in the crowd remained unfazed by all this fast-paced action, Donald Trump.

‘Notorious’ came into the fight after a loss against the same opponent. Thus, both the fighters had an equal 1-1 record over each other in the past. However, the fighter not only lost against Poirier twice but also sustained a career-threatening injury.

The lightweight fight involving the two fighters decided the next title contender. However, ‘Diamond‘ failed in his expedition to claim the lightweight title against the former champion, Charles Oliveira, at UFC 269.

Currently, McGregor is on a long layoff since sustaining an awful leg injury. While ‘Mystic Mac’ appeared to have recovered from his horrible injury, the fighter has yet to make his return to the Octagon.

All was not bleak for the 22-6 record holder during this layoff period as McGregor realized his Hollywood debut dream. Significantly, the Dublin-born fighter is slated to appear in the upcoming remake of the cult classic, ‘Road House’.
