Speaking of Rousey and McGregor giving her interview opportunities, Olivi said,

“…Ronda she’d be like: ‘I love your interview style.’ We did one and then she had told her agent basically ‘I always wanna work with her because it was easy.’ Same with Conor McGregor. I mean, we always worked together before every fight. So those were kind of like the life-changers for me as well.”

‘The Notorious’ donated $500K to a Louisiana Charity

When Conor McGregor fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 in January 2021, the former had promised half a million dollars of donation to the latter’s charity. The pair maintained cordiality throughout the build-up and after the fight. However, things turned sour after the trilogy announcement.

Poirier accused McGregor of failing to come through with his promise. McGregor fired back, accusing Poirier’s charity to be an unreliable one. He cited this reason for not donating the money to them. Later, he paid the promised sum to a different charity that operates out of Poirier’s hometown of Louisiana.

Poirier said he regretted dragging his organization’s name into the affair. He also expressed gratitude that the money went into his community, even though not through his charity. While the affair may have gotten ugly, McGregor delivered what he promised, and Poirier’s community was half a million dollars richer.
