Ever since the UFC announced their contract extension with Nate Diaz, the list of his potential opponents has only increased. Following UFC 269, after a Twitter spat, the California native challenged Dustin Poirier for a fight. Although the fight hasn’t come to fruition yet, another name has called out Diaz.
Former foe Rafael dos Anjos took to Twitter and wrote, “@NateDiaz209 UFC 270 let’s go. We can put on the contract that kicks are not allowed if you want. I’ll boxe you”

The duo last met in December 2014 at UFC on Fox 13. In their last bout 7 years ago, Anjos brutalized Diaz with his kicks and won the match with a unanimous decision. Since then, ‘RDA’ has called out Nate Diaz multiple times, one instance being earlier this year in January.
‘RDA’, who sits at #6 on the lightweight charts, has not fought since beating Paul Felder in November 2020.
Diaz fought in 2021. He took on Leon Edwards at UFC 263 and lost the bout via a unanimous decision to go 0-2 in his last two fights.
Nate Diaz takes a jibe at Dustin Poirier
Since UFC 269, Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier have been involved in a Twitter back and forth. Things came into motion when Diaz claimed that Poirier ‘sucks’, after the latter submitted to Charles Oliveira in his second title bout.
However, things have now taken on an interesting turn as both the fighters have agreed to a fight. Dustin Poirier affirmed on Twitter that he agreed to a Nate Diaz fight, but UFC couldn’t make it happen at the next pay-per-view. Replying to Poirier’s tweet, Nate Diaz trolled the former interim lightweight champion as he called him a loser.
