Aljamain Sterling (22 wins and 3 losses in MMA) recently posted a video on YouTube where he shared his thoughts on the McGregor vs Chandler fight. The ‘Funk Master’ believes the Irishman has the style to win this fight if he uses his kicks like he used to. Sterling said, “I think Conor has the stylistic build to win with the kicks.” He wondered if McGregor will decide to bring back his kicking game after the gruesome injury he suffered in his last fight. However, he has some advice for the ‘Notorious’.

Aljamain Sterling’s cautionary advice to Conor McGregor

‘Funk Master’ is not downplaying the abilities of Michael Chandler inside the octagon. He mentioned his prowess in striking and compared it to boxing legend ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson. Sterling said, “You have a guy like Chandler who hits like ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson and at the same time, wrestles his a** off if needed.” The UFC bantamweight champion believes the one who brings their A-game will win the fight.

However, he claims that if Chandler comes for a show and not to grab a win, it could be McGregor’s night. “Michael Chandler had ‘shows’ in the past. If that Chandler shows up, this is Conor’s fight to lose.”

However, ‘Funk Master’ still believes that Chandler can turn it around and get in the octagon to fight if he decides to impose a threat. Aljamain Sterling said, “If he [Chandler] is game-ready ... and not just make a red-panty night payday, I think he goes out there and gets it done over Conor McGregor.”
