UFC President Dana White recently made the announcement everyone was waiting for. White declared that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will be the coaches of the new TUF season. Not only that, but White also said that McGregor and Chandler will face each other after the season ends.

This news has stirred the MMA world, and everyone is talking about the return of The Notorious. Many fighters and MMA pundits have expressed their excitement about this fight. One of those is the UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling. Sterling put out a video about the Chandler vs McGregor fight on his channel named ‘FunkMasterMMA’. He had some positive things to say about the fighters and the fight.

Sterling on the return of Conor McGregor

The bantamweight champ sounded thrilled about the return of McGregor. He described The Notorious as “the most polarizing people out there athletes to ever do it.”

“Anyone who says they are not excited to see a Conor McGregor fight is a hater,” Sterling added. According to the bantamweight champ, “Conor’s coming here to win because this is a tailor-made matchup.”

Sterling also talked about McGregor’s fitness. “(Will be) Seeing if his cardio is going to hold up, seeing how strong he’s gonna be, will he have the same pop that he had at 45 when he was starching guys?” said the champ. Sterling expressed respect towards McGregor and appreciated the former champion for the work he has done.

Sterling praising Michael Chandler

Aljamain Sterling also talked about ‘Iron Mike’ Chandler in the video. “But then you have a guy like Chandler who can hit like Iron Mike Tyson and at the same time wrestle his a*s off if needed,” Sterling said. He thinks that Chandler has all the “tools” required to be a champion. However, he also expressed his opinion that Chandler must improve his fight IQ.
