The MMA fans are set for a great fight card at UFC 284. The event taking place in Perth, Australia, will feature Islam Makhachev vs. Alexander Volkanovski for the lightweight title. However, fans are wondering if Joe Rogan will be a part of the UFC’s broadcasting team for the event.
UFC 284 will feature five matches on the main card, including the lightweight title bout. UFC president Dana White claims that the upcoming event will be breaking all pay-per-view records in Australia and New Zealand. One of Conor McGregor’s fights previously held the record. Volkanovski will garner the support of his home crowd, while Islam Makhachev will defend the title without Khabib Nurmagomedov in his corner. The Dagestani champion confirmed it himself.
The most anticipated match requires the most recognized voices in the commentary team. The fans love the mainstays of the commentary team, which includes Jon Anik and Joe Rogan. They have been the best voices behind some of the iconic UFC moments throughout the promotion’s existence. However, there will be some changes in the commentary team for the February 11 event at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

Joe Rogan is involved in multiple ventures. Apart from being a prominent broadcasting member of the UFC, he is also the host of the world’s largest audio platform, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. There is an episode of JRE released every week. With this kind of busy schedule, it is difficult for the 55-year-old to travel hours and hours to different countries for various international UFC events.
The Spotify podcaster once received an offer to work with ESPN. However, the famed commentator-podcaster rejected that proposal and claimed that he’d rather be present during the fights than be in the studio. But he also mentioned that he’d do a limited amount of shows per year (10 events a year, according to Rogan) with two months off.
