In more recent training footage of the ‘Mystic Mac’, he can be seen drilling kicks, ‘head-kicks’ to be more specific.
The Video Clip Shows Reflections of Old Conor
The former UFC champion took to his YouTube channel to share his progress with his fans. McGregor was also seen in a more karate stance, something to which fans did pay attention.

McGregor was prominently a kickboxer with a very wide stance that allowed him to throw more kicks and stay light on his feet.
Over the last two fights, the Irishman switched to a more boxing-like posture, which required him to be heavy on his lead leg, which made him more susceptible to leg kicks.
In the second Poirier fight, at UFC 257, ‘The Diamond’ took full advantage of the front-foot heavy McGregor. He chopped his lead leg to a point where McGregor’s striking was nullified.

With the recent footage, McGregor fans took a sigh of relief when they saw their fighter go back to his own fighting style. The comments were filled with appreciation and fans were excited to see the notorious return and displayed this rejuvenated style inside the cage.
Conor McGregor Eyeing 2023 to Make a Return
Conor McGregor’s last fight inside the octagon was the trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. McGregor severely injured his leg during the last seconds of the very first round.
Since then, the Irishman has been dropping videos where he can be seen sharpening his skill-set. McGregor and his management sight 2023 as an appropriate return date.
